Drawn by Adell Bruns, this mural depicts the flora and fauna of the Prince of Wales Island Hatchery
and Klawock Lake, Alaska, 
Marty Sharp and Adell spent over 100 hours painting the mural that spans two walls of the Visitor Center.

The Prince of Wales Hatchery Association (POWHA) currently operates the Klawock River Hatchery facility as a community-based private  501(c)3 non-profit association. 

The Mission of POWHA is to sustain and enhance the runs of
coho, steelhead, and sockeye salmon in the Klawock watershed.  We make every effort to include all local communities and people in the realization of our goals by supporting the local community through the economical, social, educational and cultural needs of the island.
